~ Sometimes when you lose your way, you find YOURSELF ~
‘Don’t Want, Do Want Exercise’
So many of us have no idea what we really want – we are all striving for happiness but what does that mean to you? This exercise today will hopefully give you some clarity.
Ok, so yesterday we talked about getting into a ‘happy place’. This is very important when we want to create powerful, positive, present tense affirmations.

  1. You will need a piece of paper – you are going to list the things that you DON’T like about your chosen area of your life, be specific!

Some examples if it was your career might be:
I don’t like how my boss treats me
I don’t like getting up at 6am
I don’t like how I don’t get any recognition for the job I do

  1. Next you will make a list of WHY you don’t like these things.

An example is:
I don’t like getting up at 6am because I feel tired all day

  1. Lastly you will complete the DO WANT exercise, this comes from the first two parts.

Examples are:
I start work at 10am every morning
I work flexible hours
I excel at work and am appreciated
So you are turning each statement into a positive one!
Tomorrow we will form our affirmations in each area:
Goal affirmations
Life affirmations
Why affirmations
Action affirmations
Thought affirmations
