My gratitude diary……..
This is something I have shared with many people including my family. Some people have taken a while to accept it and keep it up, but everyone has said it has been a good thing to include in their lives and that they definitely feel better within themselves.
Being grateful is the quickest way to happiness. Get yourself a little book and every day preferably before you go to bed write down 5 things that you are grateful for that day, however small. They should be different EVERY day. I include things like enjoying my cup of tea, having a laugh with my friends and I am grateful my legs carry me on my morning run etc. You can do this in the morning if you find you have more time then.
This will work in two ways, you begin to realise that you do really have a lot to be happy about.  Also on those days, you are struggling to write anything you can flick through your diary and it will trigger your mind looking at all those wonderful things in your life. This helps us to focus on the now and feeling happy and not concentrate on those things we haven’t got in our lives.
