~ How to Feel Young at Heart Again ~

Hi Everyone,
A very warm welcome to this week’s newsletter. This is a perfect one for those of us in our midlife years when we are feeling a little sluggish, perhaps lost our sparkle and need a bit of an oomph!
So I have a quick question for you……..…
If you didn’t know your age, how old would you feel?
Even though many of us wouldn’t like to go back in time and be 18 again…
I’m sure none of us would mind having the zest, energy and optimism of an 18 year old.
This is why today, I’d like to share with you 3 effective tips that you can incorporate into your life right now so you can rediscover the enthusiasm you felt when you were younger and feel fabulous inside out everyday:
Tip1: Control your stress
Did you know that 60 to 90 % of doctor’s visits are related to stress?
Sadly, this is true. And even though stress is part of life (traffic jams, money problems, job pressures, children, etc.) you should never let it control your life.
Remember that is your job to learn how to manage it.
Practicing meditation, yoga or doing more of the things you love are effective ways to do it.
Tip 2: Embrace your inner child
Remember how carefree you were as a child and the hours you would spend playing outside?
Well there’s no need for you to stop playing and enjoying life just because you’ve grown older.
When you take time to laugh, enjoy the present moment and just have fun, life becomes much more exciting. Your heart follows your body and if you feel young you will be young. Embrace your inner child today and go outside and play!
Tip 3. Try mixing it up
Even when we’re doing all the right things: eating healthy, working out, applying face cream every night…when you eat or do the same things over and over, your body and mind start craving something new and different, this is why to feel younger you have to stimulate your mind with new things.
You don’t have to make big changes in your life, simply try going to a different coffee place for your latte, or taking a different route when you go to work. When you incorporate new things into your routine you feel rejuvenated and well, younger.
So the next time you lack motivation and you want to gain back your passion for life and feel invigorated again, practice these 3 tips and remember that staying young comes from within.
‘Inside Out’ becoming my famous saying these days!
To being young at heart,
Louise
